An automated deduction in propositional logic

Abstract:

V této práci byla vytvořena aplikace v jazyce Java, která automatizovaně ověřuje platnost logického důsledku oproti zadané množině předpokladů ve výrokové logice. Je zde popsán úvod do výrokové logiky a jejího jazyka. Dále jsou zde probádány poznatky důležité pro dedukci ve výrokové logice a její automatizaci v počítačových algoritmech. Součástí práce je seznámení s principy tvorby znalostních bází, které jsou v deduktivních úlohách využívány. Práce obsahuje návrh a implementaci systému provádějící automatizovanou dedukci pomocí rezolučního odvozovacího pravidla. Součástí je také otestování systému na vybraných úlohách. Tato práce by měla být přínosná především studentům, kteří se setkávají se studiem výrokové logiky. Studenti mohou vypracované deduktivní úlohy zadávat do aplikace a svůj výsledek porovnávat s výsledkem, který jim dá aplikace, a takto se snáze procvičovat a zdokonalovat.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis was created an Java application that automatically validates the logical consequence in relation to a entered set of hypotheses in propositional calculus. There are described an introduction to propositional calculus and its L language. There are also researched knowledge, which are important for deduction in propositional calculus and its automation in computer algorithms. As part of this thesis is an introduction to the principles of creation of knowledge bases, because these bases are used in deductive tasks. This thesis includes the design and implementation of a system using the resolution inference rule for automated deduction. The thesis also includes a test of the application for some selected tasks. The contribution of this thesis is for students, which study the propositional calculus. Students can enter some deductive tasks into the application and compare their results with results from the application. So they can more easily practise and improve.
