Effect of different levels of nitrogen fertilisation and fungicide protection on selected varieties of winter wheat and winter rapeseed

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vyhodnocení vlivu rozdílných dávek dusíkatého hnojení a použití fungicidů na vybrané moderní odrůdy ozimé pšenice a ozimé řepky. Cílem bylo posoudit vliv těchto pěstebních variant na výnosové prvky, zdravotní stav a finální produkci, a zjistit, zda existují odrůdy schopné dosahovat srovnatelných výsledků i při snížené úrovni agrotechnických vstupů. Polní maloparcelkový pokus probíhal v provozních podmínkách na pozemcích Školního statku Měšice. Hodnoceno bylo celkem šest odrůd pšenice ozimé a šest odrůd řepky ozimé. Porovnávány byly dvě technologie pěstování: podniková varianta s plnou intenzitou výživy a ochrany, a experimentální varianta, u níž bylo vynecháno poslední dusíkaté přihnojení (snížení o 40 kg N/ha) a závěrečná aplikace fungicidu. Výsledky u obou plodin jednoznačně prokázaly, že redukce vstupů vede ke statisticky vysoce významnému propadu ve všech sledovaných parametrech. U pšenice ozimé způsobil deficit živin a absence ochrany poškození asimilačního aparátu, nouzové dozrávání a razantní snížení počtu klasů, počtu zrn i hmotnosti tisíce zrn (HTS). Průměrný výnos zrna klesl z 8,86 t/ha na 5,92 t/ha. Liniová odrůda SU Tarroca prokázala nejvyšší výnosovou stabilitu a schopnost adaptace, zatímco největší propad zaznamenala odrůda Bonanza. U řepky ozimé vedla extenzifikace k předčasnému zrání, snížení počtu plodných větví, nižší HTS i k průkaznému poklesu obsahu oleje v semeni. Průměrný výnos semen se propadl z vynikajících 4,53 t/ha u ošetřené varianty na 3,35 t/ha u varianty experimentální. Absolutně nejvýkonnější hybrid Jurek vykázal největší ztrátu ze svého produkčního potenciálu, kdy při extenzivním pěstování jeho výnos klesl o 1.99 t/ha, naopak nejvyšší stabilitu do stresových podmínek potvrdily odrůdy Dominator a Batis. Na základě dosažených výsledků lze konstatovat, že pro technologie s vysokou intenzitou pěstování, které umožňují naplno využít produkční potenciál, jsou nejvhodnější hybridní pšenice SU Hytoni s (maximálním výnosem 9,38 t/ha) a hybrid řepky Jurek (5,09 t/ha). Intenzivní vedení porostu je naprostou nutností také pro pšenici Bonanza, která projevil na snižování vstupů vysokou citlivost. Odrůdy vykazující nejvyšší míru adaptability, které si udržely vysokou stabilitu a na snížení vstupů reagovaly nejmírněji, byly u pšenice SU Tarroca a u řepky Dominator společně s odrůdou Batis. Tyto odrůdy lze jako jediné bezpečně doporučit i do extenzivnějších systémů. Závěrem lze konstatovat, že stanovené vědecké hypotézy se nepotvrdily. Cílená extenzifikace vstupů vede u moderních, vysoce výkonných odrůd k poškození celého fyziologického aparátu a k úbytkům výnosu, které jsou statisticky i ekonomicky natolik průkazné, že tuto produkci nelze v žádném případě považovat za srovnatelnou s intenzivním pěstováním.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on evaluating the impact of different nitrogen fertilizer rates and the use of fungicides on selected modern varieties of winter wheat and winter rapeseed. The objective was to assess the impact of these cultivation variants on yield components, plant health, and final production, and to determine whether there are varieties capable of achieving comparable results even with reduced levels of agrotechnical inputs. The small-plot field experiment was conducted under operational conditions on the land of the Měšice School Farm. A total of six winter wheat varieties and six winter rapeseed varieties were evaluated. Two cultivation technologies were compared: the farm variant with full-intensity fertilization and protection, and the experimental variant, in which the final nitrogen application (a reduction of 40 kg N/ha) and the final fungicide application were omitted. The results for both crops clearly demonstrated that reducing inputs leads to a statistically highly significant decline in all monitored parameters. In winter wheat, the nutrient deficit and lack of protection caused damage to the assimilation apparatus, premature ripening, and a sharp reduction in the number of ears, the number of grains, and the thousand-grain weight (TGW). The average grain yield fell from 8.86 t/ha to 5.92 t/ha. The SU Tarroca line variety demonstrated the highest yield stability and adaptability, while the Bonanza variety recorded the greatest decline. In winter rapeseed, extensification led to premature ripening, a reduction in the number of fruiting branches, lower TGW, and a significant decrease in seed oil content. The average seed yield plummeted from an excellent 4.53 t/ha in the treated variant to 3.35 t/ha in the experimental variant. The Jurek hybrid, which was by far the highest-performing, showed the greatest loss of its production potential, with its yield dropping by 1.99 t/ha under extensive cultivation; conversely, the Dominator and Batis varieties demonstrated the highest stability under stressful conditions. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that for high-intensity cultivation technologies, which allow the production potential to be fully utilized, the most suitable are the SU Hytoni wheat hybrid (with a maximum yield of 9.38 t/ha) and the Jurek rapeseed hybrid (5.09 t/ha). Intensive crop management is also an absolute necessity for the Bonanza wheat variety, which showed high sensitivity to reduced inputs. The varieties exhibiting the highest adaptability, which maintained high stability and reacted most mildly to reduced inputs, were SU Tarroca for wheat and Dominator for rapeseed, along with the Batis variety. These are the only varieties that can be safely recommended even for more extensive systems. In conclusion, it can be stated that the scientific hypotheses were not confirmed. Targeted input extensification leads, in modern, high-yielding varieties, to damage to the entire physiological system and to yield losses that are statistically and economically so significant that this production cannot under any circumstances be considered comparable to intensive cultivation.
