Mortgage crisis in the USA

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce představuje komplexní analýzu hypoteční krize v USA, jedné z nejvýznamnějších finančních krizí moderní historie. V teoretické části práce jsou zkoumány základní teorie finančních krizí, včetně faktorů, které mohou vést k jejich vzniku, a klíčových charakteristik historických krizí, což poskytuje kontext pro další analýzu. Hlavní část práce se zaměřuje na hypoteční krizi, kde jsou identifikovány a analyzovány příčiny vzniku a průběh této krize. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována reakci federální vlády a Federálního rezervního systému, včetně jejich měnových intervencí, a je hodnocena účinnost jejich opatření při stabilizaci finančního systému a ekonomiky. Důsledky hypoteční krize jsou zkoumány z hlediska makroekonomických proměnných, včetně růstu HDP, nezaměstnanosti a inflace. Tato práce slouží nejen k porozumění hypoteční krize v USA, ale také k obecnému pochopení mechanismů a důsledků finančních krizí, což má zásadní význam pro budoucí politiku a regulaci finančních trhů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis presents a comprehensive analysis of the US mortgage crisis, one of the most significant financial crises in modern history. The theoretical part of the thesis examines the basic theories of financial crises, including the factors that can lead to their occurrence and the key characteristics of historical crises, providing a context for further analysis. The main part of the thesis focuses on the mortgage crisis, identifying and analysing the causes and course of this crisis. Particular attention is paid to the response of the federal government and the Federal Reserve, including their monetary interventions, and the effectiveness of their actions in stabilizing the financial system and the economy is evaluated. The consequences of the mortgage crisis are examined in terms of macroeconomic variables, including GDP growth, unemployment, and inflation. This work serves not only to understand the U.S. mortgage crisis, but also to provide a general understanding of the mechanisms and consequences of financial crises, which is crucial for future policy and regulation of financial markets.
