Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je cyklistická doprava v městské části Brno – střed. Práce se zaměřuje na specifika cyklistiky jakožto formy dopravy v urbánním prostoru se zřetelem na využívání cyklistického kola jako dopravního prostředku v městské části Brno – střed. Teoretická část poukazuje na cyklistickou dopravu jakožto environmentální alternativu k osobní automobilové dopravě a na její možnosti rozvoje v městech. Práce hodnotí stav cyklodopravy v městech ČR a konfrontuje ho s případy zahraničních měst, kde je cyklistická doprava výraznou součástí hlavního dopravního prostoru. Diplomová práce se soustřeďuje na stav cyklistické dopravy v městské části Brno – střed a na možnosti dalšího rozvoje. Zároveň poukazuje na faktory, které rozvoj cyklodopravy v městské části Brno - střed omezují. Empirická část diplomové práce vychází ze strukturovaných rozhovorů s relevantními aktéry. Výzkum poukázal na hlavní bariéry rozvoje cyklistické dopravy a na neshody v samotném pochopení principu cyklodopravy, jakožto hlavní bariéru rozvoje cyklodopravy v městské části – Brno střed.

Abstract:

The theme of my graduation theses is cycling in part Brno - centre. My thesis deals with specifics of cycling as one form of transportation in urban area in consideration of using bicycle as a means of transport in part Brno- centre. The theoretical part point out to cycling as an environmental alternative to automobile transport and possibilities of its development in cities. My thesis assesses the situation of cycling in towns and cities in the Czech republic and confronts it with the cases of foreign cities where cycling is a significant part of the main transportation forms. Graduation theses focuses on the condition of cycling in Brno-centre and the possibilities of its further development. At the same time my thesis shows factors that obstruct the development of cycling in Brno-centre. The empirical part of thesis results from structured discussions with the relevant actors. The research has pointed out to the main barriers of development of cycling and to the dissensions in understanding the principles of cycling themselves as the main barrier of development of cycling in part Brno-centre.
