Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Jean Valjean: Proměny herecké interpretace“ pojednává o muzikálu Bídníci a jeho hlavní postavě Jeanu Valjeanovi. V práci se zmiňuji o období romantismu, ve kterém slavný román Victora Huga vznikal. Popisuji děj románu, dramatizaci a samotnou postavu Jeana Valjeana. Seznamuji čtenáře mé diplomové práce i s autory a producentem muzikálu. Věnuji se čtyřem uvedením Bídníků v České republice. V Praze v roce 1992, 2003 a 2012 a v Brně v roce 2009.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis “Jean Valjean: Transformations of dramatic interpretation” deals with the musical Les Misérables and with its main character Jean Valjean. In my thesis, I mention the Age of Romanticism in which this famous novel of Victor Hugo was written. I describe the plot of the novel, the dramatization and the character of Jean Valjean itself. I introduce the readers of my thesis to the authors and to the producer of the musical as well. I pay attention to four introduction of Les Misérables in the Czech Republic, in years 1992, 2003 and 2012 in Prague and in the year 2009 in Brno.
