The use of advanced technology in chemistry education

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo provést rešerši na téma využití pokročilých vizualizačních metod ve výuce chemie, vypracovat přípravy na vyučování s využitím vybraných nástrojů a následně zhodnotit použitelnost vybraných vizualizačních metod v jednotlivých fázích výuky. Byla provedena rešerše na téma historie vzdělávání v oblasti chemie, informační gramotnosti, a následně také o možnostech využití ICT v jednotlivých fázích výuky. V praktické části práce byl vytvořen dotazník na téma ,,Kvalita výuky na středních školách", na jehož základě byla vybrána problematická témata ke zpracování příprav na vyučování s využitím vhodných ICT nástrojů. Pro určená témata bylo vybráno 7 nástrojů, které mají potenciál podat probíranou látku efektivněji oproti klasickým způsobům výuky. Byly popsány aspekty těchto nástrojů a některé z nich byly vyzkoušeny během vyučování v rámci pedagogické praxe na gymnáziu.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis was to do research on the use of advanced visualization methods in teaching chemistry, to prepare for teaching using the selected tools and then to evaluate the usability of the selected visualization methods in individual phases of teaching. Research was conducted on the history of chemistry education, information literacy, and subsequently on the possibilities of using ICT in different phases of teaching. In the practical part of the thesis, a questionnaire on the topic "Quality of teaching in high schools" was developed, which was used to select problematic topics to prepare for teaching using appropriate ICT tools. For the identified topics, 7 tools were selected that have the potential to present the discussed material more effectively compared to traditional teaching methods. Aspects of these tools have been described and some of them have been tested during teaching practice at the high school.
