Documentary collection and letters of credit as an important instrument for the financing of import transactions in the corporate sector

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje dvěma dokumentárním platebním instrumentům, které jsou využívány při zajišťování mezinárodních obchodních transakcích, dokumentárnímu akreditivu a dokumentárnímu inkasu. S použitím těchto nástrojů jsou v mezinárodním obchodu prováděny transakce, které by vzhledem k vysokým rizikům nemohly být uskutečněny. Diplomová práce si klade za cíl dokumentární akreditiv a dokumentární inkaso, jako nástroje platební a zajišťovací, podrobněji charakterizovat. V práci jsou uvedeny výhody, resp. důvody k využívání a poskytování těchto zajišťovacích nástrojů, spolu s nevýhodami a riziky pro všechny subjekty, které v jejich rámci vystupují. Praktická část této práce se věnuje odpovědi na otázku, proč jsou dokumentární bankovní instrumenty považovány za tolik bezpečné a vhodné k úhradě kupní ceny. Vypracovaná případová studie demonstruje jejich užití v mezinárodním obchodu. Závěrem je zhodnocena nabídka společně s poptávkou po dokumentárních platebních nástrojích na českém bankovním trhu.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses two documentary payment instruments that are used in the provision of international business transactions, letters of credit and documentary collection. Using these tools are implemented in international trade transactions, which, due to high risk could not be implemented. This thesis aims to documentary credit and documentary collection as an instrument of payment and security, to characterize. In work benefits, respectively. reasons for the use and provision of these hedging instruments, along with disadvantages and risks for all entities within them stand out. The practical part is devoted to answering the question, why are documentary banking instruments considered so safe and suitable for the payment of the purchase price. For case study demonstrates their use in international trade. Finally, the evaluation of the offer, together with the demand for documentary payment instruments to the Czech banking market.
