Banking System of the United States

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zmapovat Bankovní systém ve Spojených státech. První část se věnuje významným zákonům, které jej postupně formovaly, největší důraz je přitom kladen na nově vznikající legislativu. V další části je popsáno fungování centrální banky a dalších regulatorních orgánů. Další část se věnuje problematice soukromých bank, rozdělení na investiční a komerční bankovnictví a problém jejich slučování. Následuje stručná analýza současné situace amerických bank. V poslední části se pak věnuji úvahám nad problematickými místy bankovního systému USA.

Abstract:

Goal of this bachelor's thesis is to map the Banking system of United states. First part concentrate on the most important acts, which formed it with the strongest accent on the newest legislation. In the next part there is described function of the central bank and other regulatory bodies. Another part presents matters of the private banks, division of commercial and investment banks and the issues with its combination. Follows a brief analysis of actual situation of American banks. The last part is dedicated to debate on the problematic spots of the Banking system of the USA.
