The master's thesis deals with Emil František Burian’s work Vojna. The introductory part is an overview of Burian's artistic activity. The following part presents the work in several contexts: it mainly deals with the voice band, folklore inspirations and traces the influence of Burian's poetics in the Brno theater in 1960s.
