International trade of the Czech Republic with the Russian Federation

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza zahraničního obchodu České republiky s Ruskou federací. V minulosti měly obě tyto země významné obchodní i historické vazby. Od počátku nového tisíciletí obchodní bilance ČR s Ruskem rostla, zlom přišel až osudovým rokem 2008 hospodářské krize a následně pokračoval uvalením sankcí na zahraniční obchod RF. V úvodní části bakalářské práce je charakterizován vývoj obou zemí do 90. let minulého století. V další části je nastíněn vývoj za poslední desetiletí. Třetí kapitola se zabývá samotnými sankcemi, jejich příčinou a dopadem na ruskou ekonomiku. Poslední kapitola je věnována predikcím budoucího ekonomického vývoje a vliv na dění nejen těchto dvou států.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyse international trade of the Czech Republic with the Russian Federation. There were important trade and historical connections between those two countries in the past. Since the new century, the trade balance of the Czech Republic and Russia had been growing and the breaking point came in 2008, when the economic crisis stroke and continued with the imposition of sanctions on the international trade of the Russian Federation. The evolution of both countries till 1990s is characterized in the introductory part. The next part describes the evolution of the last ten years. The third chapter concentrates specifically on sanctions, their cause and their impact on the Russian economy. The last chapter contains the prediction of future economic progress and the impact on the progress not only of those two nations.
