Social work offer in relation to LGBT

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje roli sociální práce ve vztahu k LGBT osobám z důvodu velmi nízké pozornosti ve spojení s touto tematikou. Pozornost je věnována konceptu LGBT jedinců, který implikuje samotnou zkratku LGBT, související terminologii a přibližuje jednotlivé typy sexualit. Práce se dále zaměřuje na postoje společnosti a právní aspekty dopadající na každodenní život LGBT lidí, jelikož mohou prostupovat také do praxe sociální práce. Hlavním cílem práce je analýza zkušeností a postojů sociálních pracovníků při práci s LGBT menšinou se záměrem navrhnout potenciální opatření při práci s nimi. Hlavní cíl práce naplňuje kvalitativní výzkum, a to polostrukturované rozhovory s manažery organizací a sociálními pracovníky mající přímou či potenciální zkušenost s LGBT osobami. Kvalitativní výzkum doplňuje kvalitativní obsahová analýza soustřeďující se na cíle a zásady vybraných organizací sociální práce, které jsou uváděny na internetových stránkách ve vztahu k LGBT lidem.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on social work in relation to LGBT person from the perspective of very weak attention in connection with this topic. Attention is paid to the concept of LGBT persons, which implies the acronym LGBT itself, related terminology and describes the different types of sexuality. The thesis also focuses on the attitudes of society towards these people and legal aspects affecting the everyday life of LGBT people, as they can also penetrate into the practice of social work. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the experience and attitudes of social workers in working with LGBT minority with the intention to propose potential measures when working with them. The main objective of the thesis is fulfilled by qualitative research, namely semi-structured interviews with managers of organizations and social workers having direct or potential experience with LGBT persons. Qualitative research is complemented by a qualitative content analysis that focuses on the principles and goals of selected social work organizations presented on the website in relation to LGBT people.
