The role of interpreter in education of hearing impaired students

Abstract:

Naše práce nese název - Role tlumočníka při vzdělávání žáků a studentů se sluchovým postižením. Zabývá se studenty se sluchovým postižením na vysoké škole, kteří ke svému vzdělání potřebují tlumočnické služby. V teoretické části je popsána surdopedie, jakožto jedna ze speciálně pedagogických disciplín. Dále je projednávána teorie tlumočení a v neposlední řadě vzdělávání studentů se sluchovým postižením na vysoké škole. Praktická část práce zahrnuje výzkumné šetření, provedené na vzorku tlumočníků a vyučujících, jenž mají ve své výuce tlumočníka. Šetření se zaměřuje na činnosti tlumočníka ve výuce a na vzájemnou spolupráci tlumočníků a vyučujících. Součástí práce je také analýza výsledků šetření. Díky dat, které jsme získali rozhovory s respondenty a pozorováním ve výuce, jsme utvořili závěr celého výzkumu, který podává výsledky analýzy výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

Our thesis carries the name - The role of interpreter in education of hearing impaired students. It deals with hearing impaired students at university who need interpreting services for their education. In the theoretical part, surdopaedia is described as one of the special pedagogical disciplines. There is also discussed the theory of interpretation and last but not least, the education of students with hearing impairment at university. The practical part of the thesis includes a survey research, which has been done on a sample of interpreters and teachers that have an interpreter at their lectures. The survey focuses on activities of the interpreter in teaching and on the mutual cooperation of interpreters and teachers. An analysis of the survey results is also part of the thesis. Thanks to data we received from interviews with respondents and observation in teaching, we formed conclusion of the whole research which provides results of the research analysis.
