Oral carcinoma and oral microbiome
Abstract:
Oral cancer is a severe disease, that has a very low survival rate of five years after diagnosis. The microbiome is a specific part of the oral cavity. Scientific research has revealed, that the relationship between oral microbioma and oral cancer is mutual. The work focuses on how oral cancer affects oral microbioma, and vice versa, whether microbioma is one of the risk factors for cancer. The paper …more

Rakovina dutiny ústnej je závažným onkologickým ochorením, ktorého miera dožitia piatich rokov od diagnostikovania je veľmi nízka. Mikrobióm je špecifickou súčasťou orálnej dutiny. Vedecké skúmanie odhaľuje, že vzťah orálneho mikrobiómu a rakoviny dutiny ústnej je vzájomný.
