Conflicts of interest in the selected organization of social services

Abstract:

Lidská práva a svobody a následné pojetí práv osob s postižením jsou v sociálních službách v souvislosti s jejich ochranou zmiňovány ve velké míře. Hlavním cílem textu této práce je zjistit: „V čem se liší a v čem se podobá pojetí práv a osobních svobod mladých dospělých s těžkým mentálním postižením a autismem pracovníky sociální služby a zákonnými zástupci / opatrovníky?“ Výzkum se zabývá odlišností a podobou pojetí práv v oblastech porozumění, znalosti jednotlivých práv a svobod a zkušeností s nimi. Dále zjišťujeme rozsah vědění a představu o prosazování práv a svobod. Výzkumem bylo zjištěno odlišné pojetí práv a svobod osob s postižením zejména ve znalostech, vědění, zkušenostech a představě o jejich prosazování. Podobnost je patrná v oblastech obecné představy a závažnosti práv a svobod. V odlišnostech lze nalézt okruhy střetových situací pracovníků sociálních služeb a zákonných zástupců/opatrovníků, které se v sociálních službách řeší.

Abstract:

Human rights and freedoms and consequent approach to disabled individual's rights are being quite frequently mentioned namely in relation to their protection. Main scope of this work is to discover "How much does the approach of social services employees and legal representatives/caretakers differ and how far is it getting close in the area of personal rights of heavily mentally disabled and autistic young people?" The survey attempts to find out similarities and differences in approach to rights in areas of understanding, knowledge and experience with personal rights and freedoms. Furthermore, it checks the extent of knowledge and idea how to carry those through. The survey concludes, that there is a difference in approach to the rights and freedoms of disabled people namely in areas of understanding, knowledge, experience and in ideas how to carry those through. There is a similarity obvious in general understanding of the rights and freedoms and their importance. As for differencies, there are conflict areas among social services employees and legal representatives/caretakers, where search for solution .
