Effects of Cloud Computing on Enterprises

Abstract:

Cloud Computing provides a potential to developing countries, as it allows access to advanced infrastructure with no substantial investment. This thesis aims to give background information on the effects of Cloud Computing from the perspective of user-organizations from the Republic of Moldova. Additionally, the research seeks to examine the impact the technology has by researching relationships between Cost Savings, Security and the employed type of cloud moderated by the organization’s size. A quantitative survey is employed to investigate the awareness and characteristics of Moldovan enterprises toward Cloud Computing using. An examination of main Cloud Computing effects, Cost Reduction, Security, and Relative Advantage is conducted, and findings show a significant relationship between the reduced cost and Public Cloud confirming Public Cloud as the most cost-effective solution. Although studies describe Cost Reduction as the primary benefit, specifics of Cloud Computing users in the Republic of Moldova indicate that users are oriented towards benefits that go beyond cost savings.
