Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza vývoje vzdělanostní struktury obyvatelstva v České republice a to zejména obyvatelstva Ústeckého kraje. Práce popisuje změny v úrovni vzdělanosti obyvatelstva v posledních několika desetiletích.
