Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá studiem hodnot české společnosti po roce 1989 ve vztahu k rodině a především k manželství. Jejím cílem je zjistit, jakým způsobem česká společnost chápe hodnotový obsah manželství, respektive jaké hodnoty spojuje s takovým manželstvím, které vnímá jako úspěšné, a zda od 90. let dochází k nějakým posunům v tomto jejím pojetí hodnot spjatých s manželstvím. Výzkum provázející tuto práci má podobu sekundární analýzy tří datových souborů EVS z let 1991, 1999 a 2008. Teoretický kontext práce nejprve představuje vývoj českého rodinného chování ve vztahu k manželství po roce 1989, dále se zaměřuje na vymezení pojmu úspěšného manželství a hodnot ním souvisejících a poskytuje této práci také základní výkladové rámce; pojednává o tradiční, moderní a pozdně moderní podobě rodiny, teorii druhé demografické tranzice a povaze rozdělení genderových rolí v návaznosti na východiska feminismu. Analýza datových souborů pak odhalila strukturu hodnot spojovaných s úspěšným manželstvím, která je v čase v podstatě neměnná. Za nejméně důležité jsou považovány shodné sociální charakteristiky manželů, za důležitější pak sdílení domácích prací a materiální zázemí manželství. Největší důležitost pro úspěšné manželství je však připisována hodnotám souvisejícím s intimitou. Jednou z nich jsou také děti, vnímání jejichž důležitosti v manželství však zaznamenává ve sledovaném čase neustálý plynulý pokles. Vícerozměrná analýza vycházející z výkladových rámců této práce ukázala, že se na tomto proměňujícím se vnímání dětí v souladu s teorií druhé demografické tranzice podílejí právě vstupující hodnoty individualismu.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with research of Czech society values related to family and especially to marriage after the year 1990. It aims at finding out which values are associated with successful marriage in Czech Republic and if there is any shift in the perceptions of such values. The research is designed as a secondary analysis of EVS 1991, 1999 and 2008 data sets. The theoretical context presents the development of Czech family behaviour with respect to marriage after the year 1989. Then it defines the term of successful marriage and relating values. And finally it provides basic explanatory frames; it deals with traditional, modern and post-modern family form, the second demographic transition theory and the way of gender roles distribution following up with the feminist base. The analysis of the data sets has discovered that the structure of values associated with successful marriage is almost constant over time. The least important are the same social characteristic of spouses, more important is household chores sharing and material background of marriage. And finally the values of intimacy are considered to be the most important for successful marriage. The importance of having children as one of such values slowly drops over the years. Multivariate analysis based on the explanation frames finds out that the incoming values of individualism consistent with the second demographic transition theory can contribute to explanation of this detected shift.
