Distributive channels in the selected hotel

Abstract:

This bachelor dissertation is devoted to the analysis of distribution channels of a selected hotel, which the hotel uses to offer and present its services. The distribution tools are compared and their effectiveness for the economic profit of the hotel is evaluated.The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the term marketing and related terms in relation to the topic of the bachelor dissertation. Special attention is paid to the marketing mix and its individual components, which are specified in more detail. Emphasis is also placed on the approximation of the marketing of tourism, in which there are differences compared to the marketing of other products. The practical part of the work consists of characterizing the individual components of the marketing mix in relation to the selected hotel. Information processed in this section are taken from sources, which are portals where the hotel can be found and also can be used to book accommodation. The evaluation of the effectiveness of individual direct and indirect distribution tools was carried out on the basis of statistics from 2019, which were provided to the author directly by the hotel. These data were processed into well-arranged graphs. The final part contains suggestions and recommendations, which were developed in order to increase economic profit and improve the competitiveness of the hotel.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa venuje analýze distribučných kanálov vybraného hotela, ktoré hotel využíva na ponúkanie a prezentovanie svojich služieb. Nástroje distribúcie sú porovnané a zhodnotená je ich efektivita pre ekonomický zisk hotela. Teoretická časť práce sa zameriava na vymedzenie pojmu marketing a na pojmy s ním súvisiace, vo vzťahu k téme bakalárskej práce. Osobitná pozornosť je venovaná marketingovému mixu a jeho jednotlivým zložkám, ktoré sú bližšie špecifikované. Dôraz sa kladie aj na priblíženie marketingu cestovného ruchu, v ktorom badať rozdiely v porovnaní s marketingom iných produktov. Praktická časť práce spočíva v charakterizovaní jednotlivých zložiek marketingového mixu vo vzťahu k vybranému hotelu. Informácie spracované v tejto časti sú čerpané zo zdrojov, ktorými sú portály kde je možné hotel nájsť a zarezervovať ubytovanie. Zhodnotenie efektivity jednotlivých nástrojov priamej a nepriamej distribúcie bolo vykonané na podklade štatistík z roku 2019, ktoré boli poskytnuté autorovi priamo hotelom. Tieto údaje boli spracované do prehľadných grafov. Návrhová časť obsahuje podnety a návrhy, ktoré boli vypracované za účelom zvýšenia hospodárskeho zisku a zlepšenia konkurencieschopnosti hotela.
