As the title suggest, the thesis inquire into the position of woman in the novel Balada de Amor ao Vento by Paulina Chiziane, first woman writer of novels in Mozambique, who caused polemics by this her first book. Jak napovídá název, tato práce se zabývá postavením ženy v románu Balada de Amor ao Vento od Pauliny Chiziane, první mosambické autorky ženských románů, která touto svojí prvotinou vzbudila polemiku. Tato kniha je o hrdince, která v retrospektivě vypráví svůj život a tím nastiňuje postavení žen, které žijí ve společnosti, kde je běžná monogamie i polygamie.
