The Application of Industrial Engineering Methods in the Company XY

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je zavedení vybraných metod průmyslového inženýrství ve firmě XY vedoucí ke zlepšení image a posílení a upevnění firmy v konkurenčním prostředí na trhu. Tato práce se věnuje zejména metodě 5S a vytvoření vhodného layoutu výrobní haly. Je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. V teoretické části jsou stručně představeny metody průmyslového inženýrství, metoda 5S, štíhlá výroba a štíhlý layout. Nabyté poznatky navazují na analytickou a projektovou oblast v praktické části diplomové práce. Nejprve je představena společnost, její výrobní program a analyzován současný stav. V projektové části je navržen nový layout výrobní haly a implementována metoda 5S. Cílem projektu je zvýšení přehlednosti a čistoty vybraných pracovišť a také překonání vrstev odporu vůči změnám ze strany zaměstnanců. V závěru jsou navrženy přijatelná řešení problémů týkající se zefektivnění výrobního procesu včetně celkového zhodnocení uvedených metod průmyslového inženýrství.

Abstract:

The theme of the diploma thesis is an implementation of the selected methods of an Industrial engineering in company XY to improve the image and to reinforce and consolidate the company in a competitive market environment. This thesis focuses on 5S and creates an appropriate layout of a production hall. This thesis is divided into free main parts. The theoretical part briefly introduces methods of Industrial engineering, 5S method of lean manufacturing and lean layout. The gained knowledge is used like basis for the analysis and the project part. At first the company is introduced, its production program and the current state were analyzed. In the project part is designed new layout of the production hall and is implemented 5S method. The aim of the project is an increas-ing of the clarity and purity of selected workplaces and overcoming the layers of resistance to change by employees. At the end of this section reasonable solutions of the problems related to streamlining are designed. The final part also includes an overall assessment of the described methods of industrial engineering.
