Physiotherapy in a client with multiple sclerosis

Abstract:

Název: Fyzioterapie u klienta s roztroušenou sklerózou Cíl práce: Cílem mé práce je seznámit se s problematikou roztroušené sklerózy a zmírnit či zastavit průběh progrese tohoto onemocnění volbou optimálních fyzioterapeutických postupů, metod a konceptů u vybraného klienta s roztroušenou sklerózou. Metodika: V bakalářské práci je zpracována kazuistika ženy s diagnózou roztroušená skleróza. Využila jsem metodiku formou rozhovoru s pacientkou, který sloužil k odebrání anamnézy. Dále jsem využila měření k získání hodnot a testování pomocí speciálních testů a dotazníků. Na základě vstupního kineziologického rozboru byl stanoven krátkodobý plán fyzioterapie, který byl následně realizován po dobu půl roku formou 15 fyzioterapeutických intervencí. V terapii bylo využito mnoho různých metod a konceptů jako měkké a mobilizační techniky, kineziotaping, dechová cvičení zaměřená na aktivaci HSS, cvičení s therabandem, SM systém, cvičení se senzomotorickými pomůckami a další. Pacientka byla průběžně instruována k autoterapii a režimovým opatřením. V polovině terapie bylo provedeno kontrolní vyšetření. Po skončení terapií následoval výstupní kineziologický rozbor,na jehož základě jsem stanovila dlouhodobý plán fyzioterapie. Výsledky: V průběhu terapie došlo u pacientky k zlepšení psychické i fyzické kondice. Vlivem terapie došlo k úpravě některých špatných stereotypů, zvýšení svalové síly končetin, zvýšení rozsahu pohybů v kloubech, zlepšení stability a koordinace těla při běžných činnostech ve správném stereotypu, vymizení bolesti zad a také k zlepšení psychického stavu. Závěr: Vlivem fyzioterapeutické intervence a spolupráce se stav pacientky mírně zlepšil a nedocházelo k výraznému zhoršení vlivem této nemoci. Pacientka se v průběhu terapií zlepšovala a byla motivována pro další spolupráci. Bakalářská práce mě obohatila pro mou budoucí praxi.

Topic: Physiotherapy in a client with multiple sclerosis Objective: The aim of my work is to get acquainted with the problem of multiple sclerosis and to reduce or stop the progression of this disease by choosing optimal physiotherapeutic procedures, methods and concepts in the selected client with multiple sclerosis. Methodology: The bachelor thesis deals with a case report of a woman diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I used the methodology in the form of an interview with a patient which was used to take the medical history. Furthermore, I used measurements to obtain values and testing by using special tests and questionnaires. Based on the initial kinesiological analysis, a short-term physiotherapy plan was established, which was subsequently implemented for 15 months in the form of 15 physiotherapeutic interventions. Many different methods and concepts have been used in therapy, such as soft and mobilization techniques, kinesiotaping, breathing exercises focused on core activation, theraband exercises, SM system, exercises using sensomotoric aids, etc. The patient was continuously instructed about autotherapy and regime measures. A control examination was performed in the middle of the therapy. After the end of the therapy, an output kinesiological analysis followed, on the basis of which I set a long-term plan of physiotherapy. Results: During the therapy the patient improved her mental and physical condition. As a result of the therapy, some of the bad stereotypes were corrected, the muscular strength of limbs increased, the range of joint movements increased, stability and coordination of the body during normal activities in the correct stereotype were improved, back pain disappeared, and mental status improved. Conclusion: Due to physiotherapeutic intervention and cooperation, the patient's condition improved slightly and there was no significant deterioration due to this disease. The patient improved during the therapy and was motivated for further cooperation. The bachelor thesis enriched me for my future practice.
