The Comparison Between Swift and Java Programming Language

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na srovnání programovacích jazyků Java a Swift. Nejprve byly porovány základní vlastnosti a byl vytvořen program "Hello World". Poté byly srovnány proměnné a datové typy. Následovalo srovnání metod (funkcí) a tříd. U tříd byly popsány rozdíly mezi rozhraními (protokoly) a dědičností. V další části jsou vysvětleny rozdíly kolekcí. Následovalo použití jazyka na tvorbu webu. Potom byly ukázány knihovny. Na závěr byly vysvětleny vlastnosti Swiftu, které Java nemá.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about comparison between the Java and Swift programming languages. First there's a comparison of the basic features and a "Hello World" program was made. Then the variables and data types of each language were compared. Next is the comparison of method (functions) and classes. The differences between interfaces (protocols) and inheritance were explained. The next part explains the differences between collections. The next part is about the usage of these languages to make web pages. The next part shown libraries. And finally, there's an explanation of Swift features not present in Java
