Cultural associacions in Velvary 1918-1938

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se orientuje na problematiku činnosti kulturních spolků ve Velvarech. Stěžejním obdobím jsou léta 1918-1938, tedy doba první republiky. Záměrem je přispět na základě analýzy dostupných materiálů, k tématu existence a fungování spolků, ale také k určení jejich vlivu na utváření společenského života a rozvoje kultury ve městě. Teoretická část práce v prvé části stručně vymezuje Velvarsko po stránce teritoriální, historické i demografické. Dále se pak věnuje kontextu dody a spolkové činnosti na území Čech, a to včetně krátkého exkurzu do otázky legislativy spolků. Následující kapitoly se zabývají jednotlivými velvarskými spolky fungujícími v daném období, a zároveň otázkou jejich významu, vývoje a působení na okolní společenské prostředí, včetně okolností, které ovlivňovaly jejich existenci. Současně je poukázáno na významné osobnosti, zapojené do dění ve spolkovém životě města. Práce je založena na teoretickém poznání, na analýze především archivních materiálů a regionálních publikací, dále pak na další dostupné literatuře a podkladech.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of the activities of cultural associations in Velvary. The key period is the years 1918-1938, ie the time of the First Republic. The intention is to contribute, based on the analysis of available materials, to the topic of the existence and functioning of associations, but also to determine their influence on the formation of social life and the development of culture in the town.The theoretical part of the work in the first part briefly defines Velvarsko in terms of territorial, historical and demographic. It also deals with the context of time and association activities in Bohemia, including a short excursion into the issue of association legislation. The following chapters deal with the individual Velvary associations operating in the period, as well as the question of their importance, development and impact on the surrounding social environment, including the circumstances that affected their existence. At the same time, it is pointed out important personalities involved in events in the federal life of the city. The work is based on theoretical knowledge, on the analysis of mainly archival materials and regional publications then on other available literature and materials.
