Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá zmenou režimu, ktorá v Líbyi prebieha od zvrhnutia režimu Muammara Kaddháfího v roku 2011. Na aktuálny vývoj je nahliadané prostredníctvom modernizačnej a tranzitnej teórie. V práci sú za modernizačnú teóriu sledované faktory modernizácie, sociálneho rozdelenia obyvateľstva a islamu.
