Evaluation of the Quality of Surfaces Obtained by 3D Printing Based on Elements of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá hledáním funkční závislosti prostorové drsnosti povrchu na době leptání ve sloupci acetonových par na konkrétních vzorcích, které představují 3D tiskem vyrobená ozubená kola se šípovými zuby. V teoretické části je charakterizována použitá technologie 3D tisku spolu s problematikou takto vzniklých povrchů včetně drsnost definujících parametrů na základě ISO norem. Diskutovány jsou také použité povrchové úpravy těchto povrchů. Mimo to nechybí také teorie k regresní analýze a danému typu neuronové sítě včetně vysvětlení principu jejího učení. Praktická část obsahuje podrobnosti k parametrům tisku, povrchovým úpravám a samotným vzorkům včetně detailního popisu jejich snímání interferometrickým drsnoměrem. Získaná data jsou statisticky vyhodnocena a zpracována pomocí lineární přímkové regrese a polynomické regrese II. stupně. Dále je na základě získaných dat sestavena a naučena perceptronová neuronová síť. Těchto dvou nástrojů je využito s cílem nalezení závislosti mezi drsností povrchu na základě parametru Ra a časovým intervalem leptání.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the search for the functional correlation of the spatial surface roughness on the time required for etching in the acetone vapour column on specific samples representing 3D printed gears with arrow teeth. In the theoretical part, the applied 3D printing technology is characterized together with the characteristics of the resulting surfaces including roughness defining parameters based on ISO standards. The surface treatments used for these surfaces are also discussed. In addition, the theory of regression analysis and a given type of neural network is presented, including an explanation of its learning principle. The practical part contains details on the printing parameters, surface treatments and the samples themselves, along with a detailed description of their scanning with an interferometric roughness meter. The obtained data are statistically evaluated and processed using linear linear regression and polynomial regression of degree II. Furthermore, a perceptron neural network is built and learned based on the collected data. These two tools are used in order to find the correlation between surface roughness based on Ra parameter and time period of etching.
