This work deals with the topic "HIV positive patient - the principles of medical staff's progress with emphasis on its protection". The thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part describes the history of HIV and AIDS, the biological agent of HIV, its life cycle and pathogenesis.
