Tato práce se zaměřuje na aktuální bezpečnostní politiku Spojených států amerických vůči Čínské lidové republice, tj. v letech 2008-2016. Jejím cílem je pomocí analýzy této politiky a vývoje americko-čínských politických a armádních vztahů odpovědět na otázku, zda tato politika odpovídá neorealistické teorii mezinárodních vztahů a jaký byl její dopad na zkoumané americko-čínské vztahy. The subject of this thesis is the security policy of the USA towards China during the presidency of Barack Obama. The aim of this thesis is to contrast this policy with the neorealist school of International Relations and analyse its impact on US-China political and military relations.
