Abstract:

Hudební preference jsou ovlivněny mnoha proměnnými, jednou z důležitých proměnných je hudební aktivita, proto se tato disertační práce se zabývá vlivem hudební aktivity na hudební preference. Pozornost je věnována osobám hudebně aktivním a osobám hudebně neaktivním. Jejich hodnocení jsou pak mezi sebou srovnávána. V hudební sociologii dosud nebyly uzavřeny debaty o nejvhodnějším nástroji pro měření hudebních preferenci, tato práce by měla být přínosem v jeho hledání. Vzhledem k jisté vágnosti verbálního popisu určitých žánrů či stylů, byl pro zkoumání zvolen zvukový dotazník, který byl doplněn sémantickým diferenciálem. Mezi respondentovými postoji k vlastnostem hudby jsou předpokládány vztahy a vzájemná souvislost. Přínosem práce je statistické změření této souvislosti, díky čemuž je možno vztahy nejen popsat, ale také porovnat a seřadit podle intenzity vztahu. Tento způsob zkoumání má totiž potenciál stát se významným pomocníkem v hudebně sociologickém bádání. Závěry výzkumu by mohly být využitelné v hudebně výchovném procesu, protože pomáhají odkrýt některé zákonitosti poslechu hudebního díla, který je základem receptivní hudební výchovy, jež by měla být jedním ze základních kamenů hudební výchovy.

Abstract:

Music preferences can be influenced by plenty of variables, one of which is the musical activity of an individual. As I find this factor to be crucial in the development of music preferences, I have decided for it to be the topic of this dissertation. Its focus is put on the comparison of music preferences of both the musically active individuals as well as of those who are not active in music at all. The outcome is then examined and compared. The aim of this dissertation is to be beneficial in finding some reliable and convenient tools for examination and evaluation of music preferences as the debates on such topic has not arrived to any definite conclusion yet. Due to the vague language used in the descriptions of certain genres and styles, an audio questionnaire, amended with a semantic differential, has been chosen for the research. It is assumed that there exist certain relationships and mutual links between a respondent’s attitudes and the characteristics of music. The statistics data and measurements conducted can be regarded as beneficial, especially for their ability not only to describe relationships but also to compare and analyse them according to the intensities of their relationships. This type of research may have a great potential in becoming significantly helpful in the field of sociology of music. The conclusions drawn in this research could be applied in the educational process in music as they assist in uncovering some of the characteristics of listening to works of music, the basis of receptive education in music.
