Abstract:

Mezi významné poruchy vznikající v raných fázích vývoje dítěte patří problém s rovnovážným mechanismem dítěte, jež vzniká na základě dysfunkcí vyšších úrovní centrálního nervového systému, které jsou vztaženy k vývojovým deficitům koordinace některých neurofyziologických a psychických funkcí, které bývají časté u poruch pozornosti s hyperaktivitou (ADHD). Jedním z těchto zvláště významných postnatálních vývojových stádií je inhibice primitivních reflexů. Podle dosavadních poznatků není známo, do jaké míry mají tyto deficity rovnováhy vztah k poruchám pozornosti s hyperaktivitou. Ve studii byla shromážděna data získaná od 84 dětí s ADHD a data od kontrolní skupiny 60 dětí bez diagnózy U obou skupin byly testovány deficity rovnováhy, zjišťována perzistence primitivních reflexů a výskyt symptomů poruchy pozornosti s hyperaktivitou. Na základě získaných dat deficity rovnováhy v některých testech vykazují významné Spearmanovy korelace se skóry některých primitivních reflexů a se symptomy poruch pozornosti s hyperaktivitou. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu podporují hypotézu, že poruchy rovnováhy jsou úzce spojeny s přetrvávajícími primitivními reflexy a s poruchami pozornosti a hyperaktivitou.

Abstract:

Certain disorders developed at early stages of life may lead to balance deficits as a consequence of higher level central nervous system dysfunctions. The dysfunctions result in developmental deficits in the coordination of certain neurophysiological and mental functions. The representative features of these deficits occur in Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). One of the particularly important postnatal developmental stages is diminishing of the so-called primitive reflexes. According to current knowledge there is no evidence to which extent balance deficits are related to primitive reflex persistence and whether this relationship may play a role in ADHD. The study involves data of 84 ADHD children (8-11 years old, 35 girls and 49 boys) and a control group of 60 healthy children (8-11 years old, XX girls and XX boys). Both groups were tested for balance deficits, primary reflex responses and ADHD symptoms. Balance deficits in several tests show significant Spearman correlation with the scores of certain primitive reflexes and ADHD symptoms. This research results support the hypothesis that balance deficits are linked to primitive reflex persistence and ADHD symptoms.
