Cieľom bakalárskej práce je vyhodnotiť výkonnosť českých komerčných bánk a identifikovať hlavné faktory vplývajúce na jej vývoj. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti. Teoretická časť práce sa zaoberá vymedzením prístupov používaných k meraniu výkonnosti a odlíšením pojmov výkonnosť, ziskovosť a efektívnosť.
