Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce systematicky zkoumá život a dílo Simone de Beauvoir, významné postavy existencialismu a feministické teorie 20. století. V první části práce je podán detailní přehled etap jejího života, začínaje dětstvím, pokračujíc přes období dospívání a konče akademickým působením. Důležitou součástí této části je i její společné soužití a působení s Jean-Paul Sartrem. Kapitola věnovaná "Druhému pohlaví" poskytuje podrobný rozbor klíčových témat, jako je osud, dějiny a specifické role žen od dívky po nezávislou ženu. Její přínos v rámci feministického hnutí je zdůrazněn v kapitole Inspirace a vliv, pojednávající o Hnutí za osvobození žen a následném vlivu jejího stěžejního díla. Práce si klade za cíl odhalit hlavní myšlenky a vliv tohoto ikonického díla na feministickou teorii se zaměřením na propojení s jejím životem.

Abstract:

This thesis systematically examines the life and work of Simone de Beauvoir, a major figure in existentialism and feminist theory in the 20th century. The first part of the thesis provides a detailed overview of the stages of her life, beginning with her childhood, continuing through her adolescence and ending with her academic career. An important part of this section is her coexistence and work with Jean-Paul Sartre. The chapter devoted to "The Second Sex" provides a detailed analysis of key themes such as fate, history, and the specific roles of women from girl to independent woman. Her contribution within the feminist movement is highlighted in the chapter on Inspiration and Influence, discussing the Women's Liberation Movement and the subsequent influence of her seminal work. The thesis aims to uncover the main ideas and influence of this iconic work on feminist theory, focusing on the connections to her life.
