Czechoslovak Social Democracy within the National Front 1945-1948

Abstract:

Cílem naší práce bude analýza činnosti Čsl. sociální demokracie v období tzv. Třetí republiky a její role v utvořené Národní frontě. Obsahem se pokusíme o zachycení významných okamžiků strany, její formování v Národní frontě, přiblížení klíčových sociálnědemokratických funkcionářů a jejich podíl na dalším vývoji strany, stejně jako dopad ideové rozháranosti, která zužovala poválečnou Čsl. sociální demokracii. Práce si tak dává za úkol zanalyzovat tehdejší stranickou strukturu a situaci v Čsl. sociální demokracii, jakož i její ostrý vnitrostranický boj odehrávajíc se v rozmezí let 1946 - 1948.

Abstract:

The final results of our work will be to analyze the activities of Czechoslovak social democracy during the Third Republic and its role in the National Front. We will try to capture the important moments of the party, its formation in the National Front, the approach of key social-democratic officials and their contribution to the future development of the party, as well as the impact of ideological diversity that affected post-war Czechoslovak social democracy. The task of the bachelor work is to analyze the party structure and situation in Czechoslovak social democracy, as well as its intense intra-party conflict taking place between 1946 and 1948.
