Abstract:

Hospodářská a politická integrace v rámci Evropské unie probíhá velmi rychlým tempem. Ukazuje se však, že co se zdá v tomto procesu být jasné politikům a ekonomům, není zcela srozumitelné občanům jednotlivých členských zemí. Tato skutečnost se projevila v průběhu několika významných neúspěšných referend, či velice nízkou volební účastí při volbách do Evropského parlamentu. Je jasné, že instituce Evropské unie musí zaměřit svoji činnost na osvětu a vysvětlování důležitých problémů a vizí, aby byly jasné i pro občany Evropské unie. Jedním z nástrojů, který se v rámci přibližování Evropské unie osvědčil, je síť Europe Direct center. Cílem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit činnost center Europe Direct zejména na území České republiky, přičemž je pozornost dále zaměřena na ED centrum, které působí na studijním středisku Most Vysoké školy finanční a správní, o.p.s.

Abstract:

An economic and political integration within the European Union is taking place at a very fast pace. However, it turns out that what appears to be clear in this process to politicians and economists, it is not entirely clear to citizens of individual member countries. This fact resulted in a few significant failed referendums or a very low voter turnout in elections to the European Parliament. It is obvious that the EU institutions must focus its activities on education and explanation of important issues and visions to the citizens of the European Union. One of the tools that have proven to be successful in the approximation of the European Union to its citizens is a network of Europe Direct centres. The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to show the activities of Europe Direct centres mainly in the Czech Republic. Further, an attention is focused on the ED centre operating at a Study Centre Most of the University of Finance and Administration.
