Education of HIV Positive Pregnant Women

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřená na edukaci HIV pozitivní gravidní ženy. V teoretické části je poskytován ucelený pohled na virus lidského imunodeficitu, speciální pozornost je věnována ošetřovatelské péči o těhotné ženy s HIV, porodu a péči po porodu u těchto žen. V praktické části je popisován edukační proces HIV pozitivní gravidní ženy, s cílem nejen posílit její informovanost o důležitosti zdravého životního stylu a metodách prevence přenosu viru na plod během těhotenství, ale také poskytnout cílenou psychoprofylaktickou přípravu na porod a období po něm v kontextu její diagnózy. Výstupem je sada edukačních letáků, navržených jako doplňkové materiály pro podporu a edukaci těhotných žen žijících s HIV. Tyto letáčky jsou připraveny k distribuci ve zdravotnických a sociálních zařízeních poskytujících péči a podporu těhotným ženám s diagnózou HIV. Cílem práce je poskytnout komplexní přehled o problematice HIV v těhotenství, ale také představit některé edukační strategie a materiály, které mohou sloužit k lepšímu porozumění a zvládání této situace těhotnými ženami.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the education of an HIV positive pregnant woman. The theoretical part provides a comprehensive overview of the human immunodeficiency virus, with special attention given to the nursing care of pregnant women with HIV, childbirth, and postpartum care for these women. In the practical part, the educational process for an HIV positive pregnant woman is described, aiming not only to enhance their awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and methods of preventing the virus's transmission to the fetus during pregnancy but also to provide targeted psychoprophylactic preparation for childbirth and the period following it, all within the context of their diagnosis. The outcome is a set of educational leaflets designed as supplementary materials for the support and education of pregnant women living with HIV. These leaflets are prepared for distribution in medical and social facilities providing care and support to pregnant women diagnosed with HIV. The goal of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the issue of HIV in pregnancy, but also to introduce some educational strategies and materials that can help to better understand and manage this situation by pregnant women.
