This thesis deals with the diary Naufragios that was written by the Spanish colonizer Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca. In the first part we briefly describe the history of European colonization of the American continent and especially the expedition to Florida that was led by Pánfilo de Narváez. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá deníkem Naufragios, který napsal španělský kolonizátor Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca. V první části je stručně popsána historie evropské kolonizace amerického kontinentu a zvláště expedice na Floridu, kterou vedl Pánfilo de Narváez. V další části se rozebírá dílo Naufragios.
