Wine tourism and bicycle touring in the Strážnicko and Mikulovsko microregions

Abstract:

Práce má za cíl zhodnotit postavení dvou mikroregionů v oblasti jižní Moravy z hlediska možností propojení vinařského cestovního ruchu a cykloturistiky. Pro analýzu porovnání byl zvolen mikroregion Mikulovsko a mikroregion Strážnicko Zhodnocení bude provedeno na základě analýzy potenciálu území pro vybrané formy cestovního ruchu. Práce bude uvedena obecnými údaji o vinařství a vinohradnictví České republiky a budou popsány vinařské podoblasti v Čechách i na Moravě. Poté bude následovat část věnovaná cykloturistice, ve které budou vysvětleny související pojmy. Navazující částí práce je rozbor vybraných Moravských vinařských stezek, které procházejí vybranými mikroregiony jižní Moravy. Na základě kvantitativních i kvalitativních údajů reprezentujících zvolené oblasti bude provedena komparativní analýza oblastí. Metodou mystery shoppingu je v závěru zhodnoceno, jaký mikroregion je z pohledu vinařského turisty více vyhovující. Z výsledků je patrné, že obě oblasti disponují uspokojivým množstvím poskytovaných služeb cestovního ruchu v oblasti ubytování a pohostinství, ovšem tyto služby jsou početnější v mikroregionu Mikulovsko. Také oblast cykloturistiky je v tomto mikroregionu na lepší úrovni. Cyklostezky jsou vzájemně lépe propojeny, a i vybavenost cykloservisy či jinými obchody s cyklistickými potřebami je značně vyšší.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the status of wine tourism and bicycle touring in two microregions in the South Moravian region. The Mikulovsko and Strážnicko microregions have been chosen for this comparative analysis. The evaluation will be made on the basis of analysis of area potential in connection with forms of tourism mentioned above. The thesis started with general information about both wine-making and wine-growing in the Czech Republic and wine areas in Central Bohemia and South Moravia will be described as well. Next chapter will include information about bicycle touring and technical terms associated with this topic. The analysis of selected Moravian wine trails follows. On the ground of quantitative and qualitative figures representing chosen areas comparative analysis will be made. In conclusion, mystery shopping method will help evaluate which of these two microregions is more convenient from the point of view of a wine tourist. The results show that both microregions offer acceptable amount of services in the tourism area, however these services are offered more in the Mikulovsko microregion. The area of bicycle touring is on a higher level in that region as well. Bicycle trails are better connected there, and the area is fitted up with bike repair shops more than the Strážnicko microregion.
