Perception of kitsch in the context of intercultural communication

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá fenoménem kýče a jeho vnímáním v kontextu mezikulturní komunikace. Práce se skládá, z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretickou část zastupují tři navazující kapitoly, které se věnují tématům kultury, kulturní difuze, fenoménu kýče, vyvození nutných podmínek pro jeho definice, které se pak uplatňují v kapiltole věnované analíze vybraných uměleckých děl. Praktická část je představena vlastním projektem skládajícím ze souboru fotografií.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of kitsch and its perception in the context of intercultural communication. The work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is represented by three consecutive chapters, which deal with the topics of culture, cultural diffusion, the phenomenon of kitsch, deriving the necessary conditions for its definition, which are then applied in the chapter devoted to the analysis of selected works of art. The practical part is presented by its own project consisting of a set of photographs.
