Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je analýza dvou filmových adaptací románu Na západní frontě klid a jejich komparace s knižní předlohou stejnojmenného románu od E. M. Remarqua. Práce se dále zabývá vzájemným porovnáním dvou výše uvedených filmových adaptací, jejich odlišnostmi, zachováním děje a kompozice dle původní literární předlohy. Taktéž práce sleduje zachování všech hlavních postav a jejich charakterů, návaznost jednotlivých scén dle literární předlohy, předkládá odlišnosti.Představuje náležitosti týkající se okolností vzniku obou filmových adaptací a také celkové pojetí režisérů Lewise Milestona a Delberta Manna, kteří se tohoto úkolu chopili.

Abstract:

My thesis is the analysis of two film adaptations of the novel All Quiet on the Western Front, which was filmed in 1930 and 1979, with a book by the same name novel by E .M. Remarque. Also, I focused on comparing parts of movie between themselves, differences that are maintained plot and the composition according to the book, if they are retained in the film adaptations of all the characters and with the same characters, or if there are some deviation. Are there each parts following at each sequence of individual scenes, as well in the book, as well as the overall concept of the two directors who were acquitted in this difficult task
