Optimization of radiation damage with patient during interventions in the area of the axial skeleton

Abstract:

Vytyčeným cílem bakalářské práce bylo poukázat na snížení radiační zátěže u pacientů, kteří podstupují intervence na osovém skeletu pod CT kontrolou, a to především pomocí regulace napětí a elektrického množství. Teoretická část se zabývá anatomií a fyziologií páteře, jejím onemocněním, výpočetní tomografií spolu s jejími náležitostmi, radiační zátěží pacienta a intervenční radiologií, konkrétně metodami, kterými lze provést terapeutický zákrok. Praktická část je věnována výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo prokázat, jak lze efektivně snižovat radiační zátěž z CT intervence, při současném zachování diagnostické úrovně obrazu.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to point out the reduction of radiation exposure in patients who undergo interventions on the axial skeleton under CT control, especially through the regulation of voltage and electrical amount. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and physiology of the spine, its disease, computed tomography together with its essentials, the radiation exposure of the patient and interventional radiology, specifically the methods by which therapeutic intervention can be performed. The practical part is devoted to research, the aim of which was to demonstrate how to effectively reduce the radiation exposure from CT intervention, while maintaining the diagnostic level of the image.
