Monte Carlo statistical method

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma statistické metody Monte Carlo. Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat možnosti využití statistické metody Monte Carlo při simulacích reálných procesů, navrhnout a implementovat některé experimenty využívající metody Monte Carlo. Dalším cílem je zpracování a implementace postupů vedoucích ke zpřesnění výpočtů při řešení daných problémů. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. V teoretické části je provedeno seznámení s principem a původem metody Monte Carlo. V praktické části je použita statistická metoda Monte Carlo k odhadu hodnoty Ludolfova čísla a k výpočtu jednorozměrných integrálů včetně srovnání přesnosti dosažených výsledků a grafických výstupů.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the topic of the Monte Carlo statistical method. Main goal of this thesis is to describe the possibilities of using the Monte Carlo statistical method in simulations of real processes, to design and implement some experiments using Monte Carlo methods. Secondary goal is the processing and implementation of procedures leading to more accurate calculations when solving given problems. Thesis is divided into two main parts. In the theoretical part, the principle and origin of the Monte Carlo method is introduced. In the practical part, the Monte Carlo statistical method is used to estimate the value of the Ludolphine number and to calculate one-dimensional integrals, including a comparison of the accuracy of the achieved results and graphic outputs.
