Life with borderline personality disoder

Abstract:

Tato práce je věnována lidem, kteří trpí hraniční poruchou osobnosti. Hraniční porucha patří mezi specifické poruchy osobnosti jako podtyp emočně nestabilní. Emoční nestabilita patří mezi základní projevy v chování těchto jedinců. Osmi probandům jsme dali vyplnit dotazník a byl s nimi proveden polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Tyto výzkumné metody byly zvoleny proto, aby bylo možno získat co nejvíce informací o jejich životě jak ústní tak písemnou formou. Zajímalo nás, jak prožívají běžné situace, co je baví, co mají a co nemají rádi, jak se staví k určitým problémům a k samotné hraniční poruše. Otázky byly rozděleny na několik témat. První téma bylo zaměřeno na vztahy v rodině. Téma zahrnovalo vnímání rodiny a vymezovalo zvyklosti a slavení svátků. Pozornost byla směřována i na vnímání budoucí rodiny dotazovaných. Další oblast se týkala vztahů s kamarády, partnery a ostatními lidmi s nimiž přicházejí do styku. Popisován je i životní styl těchto osob. Mimo jiné bylo do této části zařazené dodržování zásad zdravého životního stylu a poruchy příjmu potravy. Do životního stylu patřily i otázky týkající se závislostí a stylu oblékání... Nechyběla ani oblast, která popisuje zájmy, volný čas (kulturní vyžití, sport a vlastní tvořivost). Zajímalo nás i jaké sny mají naši probandi a co by si přáli. Zařadili jsme i otázky na výkon, plánování času, vztah k morálním hodnotám, spravedlnosti a zákonům jako takovým. Další oblast pojednává o altruismu a emočním vnímání. Neopomenutelný význam měly otázky, které zjišťovaly samotnou hraniční poruchu. Hlavně jsme se ptali na to, co je trápí, ale také na to, co dělají proto, aby jim bylo lépe a jestli najdou na hraniční poruše něco pozitivního. Účelem bylo odhalit, co tyto lidi spojuje a dozvědět se více o hraniční poruše od samotných pacientů z jejich subjektivního úhlu pohledu.

Abstract:

This work is meant for people, who suffer from bordeline personality disorder. Bordeline personality disorder belongs to specific personal failure, emotionally labile subtype. One of the common symptoms in human behaviour is emotional instability. We administered question-forms and made semi-structured conversation with eight participants. This research metods were chosen in order to get as much information about their life in written and spoken form as we can. Our main interest was in their ordinary day feelings, their hobbies and interests, things they like or don´t like, the way they're dealing with certain problems or the bordeline personality disorder itself. Questions were divided into several parts. The first one was aimed at interfamily relationship. This part involve topics such as family perception, habits and holidays celebration. The participants were also questioned for the apprehentions of their future family. The second part was aimed at relationships with friends, partners and other somehow important people. The life style describtion of the participants is also included. In this part is described the possible eating disorders as well as adherence to healthy lifestyle. The lifestyle section also includes addiction problems, style of dressing, interests and hobbies of participants, their free time (culture, sport and their own creativity). Among other things, we were interested in their dreams and wishes. Questions detailing their achievements, time schedule, morale values, relation to justice and laws as such were included as well. Another part handles the altruism and emotional perception topics. Last but not least, we asked queston concerning the bordeline personality disorder itself. We were mostly concerned about what worries the praticipants, what they do to feel any better and whether they even find something positive about having the bordeline personality disorder. The point was to find out what connects these people and learn more about the bordeline personality disorder from the patient's point of view.
