Analysis of State and Public Debt with an Influence on Economic Growth in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem státního a vládního dluhu České republiky mezi léty 2000-2015. V teoretické části práce jsou shrnuty hlavní poznatky autorů související s daným tématem a jsou blíže osvětleny pojmy státní, vládní, veřejný dluh a rozdíly mezi nimi. Hlavním cílem je zjistit, zda existuje souvislost mezi deficity a hrubým domácím produktem. Pomocí kvantitativních statistických metod, jako jsou korelační a regresní analýza je hledána odpověď na výzkumnou otázku. Následně diplomová práce analyzuje i vývoj peněžních prostředků centrální vlády na účtech ČNB. V závěru je zodpovězena výzkumná otázka a jsou shrnuty hlavní poznatky, ke kterým práce dospěla.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the development of the state and government debt of the Czech Republic between 2000 and 2015. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the main findings of the authors related to the topic and the concepts of state, government, public debt and the differences between them are explained. The main objective is to find out whether there is a link between deficits and gross domestic product. Using quantitative statistical methods such as correlation and regression analysis, the answer to the research question is sought. The diploma thesis then analyzes the development of central government funds in the CNB accounts. In conclusion, a research question is answered and the main findings of the work are summarized
