Revision and setup of internal communication in international company

Abstract:

Tato práce kromě základního teoretického rámce interní komunikace popisuje, proč je důležité se tímto tématem v rámci dobře fungující společnosti zabývat. Propojuje interní komunikaci s angažmá zaměstnanců, které má vliv na výkonnost a pověst firmy. Následně navazuje případovou studií situace v existujícím podniku, kde je interní komunikace špatně nastavená a funguje spíše organicky a neřízeně. Firma působí v několika Evropských zemích a má velké ambice dále růst. Jedná se tedy o mezinárodní prostředí, kde je zapotřebí, aby mezi sebou dobře a efektivně komunikovali jednotlivé složky a oddělení. Vzhledem k rozmístění zaměstnanců po několika evropských pobočkách je zapotřebí se v rámci interní komunikace zvláště zaobírat nastavením informačních systémů. Cílem práce je po důkladné analýze stávajícího stavu a nedávné historie ve zmiňovaném podniku navrhnout nastavení interní komunikace tak, aby měli všichni zaměstnanci stejný přístup k informacím a aby byli schopni efektivněji komunikovat a spolupracovat.

Abstract:

In addition to the basic theoretical framework of internal communication, this diploma thesis describes why it is important to address this topic within a well-functioning company. It links internal communication to employee engagement, which has an impact on the performance and reputation of the company. It then follows this with a case study of an existing company where internal communication is poorly set up and operates rather organically and unmanaged. The company operates in several European countries and has high ambitions for further growth. It is therefore an international environment where the different units and departments need to communicate well and effectively with each other. Due to the distribution of employees across several European locations, internal communication needs to be particularly concerned with the setup of information systems. The aim of this thesis is, after a thorough analysis of the current state and recent history in the mentioned company, to propose an internal communication setup so that all employees have equal access to information and are able to communicate and collaborate more effectively.
