Bachelor thesis analyzes the issue of the position of the European Parliament and describes competence after signing of the Lisbon Treaty. Bakalárska práca analyzuje problematiku postavenia Európskeho parlamentu a popisuje jeho kompetencie po prijatí Lisabonskej zmluvy. Na začiatku sa venuje vývoju Európskeho parlamentu od založenia Európskeho spoločenstva pre uhlie a oceľ, kedy boli jeho právomoci veľmi obmedzené, až po obdobie po podpise Lisabonskej zmluvy, ktorou sa jeho právomoci značne rozšírili.
