Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá použití feedbacku (zpětné vazby) a chvály ve výuce angličtiny na středních školách v České republice. Práce se snaží zjistit, jak se feedback a chvála používá. Dále zkoumá roli učitelů a žáků v celém procesu a snaží se zahrnout i jejich pohled na dané téma. V první části práce jsou uvedeny teoretické poznatky vztahující se k tématu. Ve druhé části je popsán samotný výzkum. Výzkum proběhl na čtyřletém gymnáziu v Brně, kde byly provedeny observace. Pohled učitelů a žáků na dané téma byl zjišťován pomocí dotazníků. Výsledky výzkumu jsou následně vyhodnoceny a srovnány s teorií. Na závěr práce poskytuje také alternativní postupy, které se dají využít při výuce.

Abstract:

The thesis explores feedback and praise in English classes at Czech secondary schools. It analyses the use of praise and feedback in the learning process. Besides, it examines teachers’ and students’ role in the feedback process and tries to investigate their perspectives. First, it presents literature review on the topic. Second, it introduces the research that was conducted at a four-year grammar school in Brno. The research consisted of observations and questionnaires. The results of the research are presented, analysed and compared with the theory. Finally, the thesis discusses classroom implications of the results and presents alternative strategies for the provision of feedback in the classroom.
