The last issues of man outside of home environment
Abstract:
Přesun umírání mimo domácí prostředí, tedy do institucionalizovaných zařízení, je fenoménem dnešní doby. Tato práce si klade za cíl zmapovat umírání ve třech institucích, se zvláštním zaměřením na pověry a zvyky, které se zde dodržují. Zkoumanými zařízeními byly řeholní dům sester Cyrilometodějského řádu, domov seniorů a léčebna dlouhodobě nemocných.
Abstract:
The shift from dying at home to dying in an institution is a modern day phenomenon. This thesis sets a goal of mapping the process of dying in three institutions, focusing on customs and superstitions observed therein. The examined institutions were a monastic house of Cyrilo-Methodian order sisters, a retirement home and a nursing home.
