Microbiome stability in the rumen of the ruminants is the key condition for proper digestion and processing of received nourishment. Food in the rumen is mechanically and chemically digested. Stabilita mikrobiómu v bachore prežúvavcov je kľúčovou podmienkou pre správne trávenie a spracovávanie prijatej potravy. Potrava v bachore je trávená mechanicky a chemicky. Behom trávenia majú významnejšiu úlohu chemické enzýmy, produkované mikroorganizmami. Mikrobióm tvoria najmä baktérie, ale aj nálevníky, archaea, anaeróbne huby a v menšej miere aj bakteriofágy.
