Acute situations in midwifery from the perspective of midwives

Abstract:

Tématem této teoreticko-průzkumné bakalářské práce jsou "akutní stavy v porodní asistenci z pohledu porodních asistentek". Teoretická část se zaměřuje na popis soudobých poznatků o akutních stavech v porodnictví, a to konkrétně o resuscitaci novorozence a dystokii ramének, a na metody vzdělávání a upevňování znalostí a dovedností u porodních asistentek. Cílem průzkumné části je zjistit rozsah teoretických znalostí oslovených porodních asistentek v oblasti vybraných akutních stavů. Dále se práce snaží zjistit, zda se porodní asistentky domnívají, že vybrané akutní stavy po praktické stránce v požadované míře zvládají, zda jsou osloveným respondentkám zaměstnavatelem pravidelně a kvalitně poskytovány další možnosti vzdělávání v této oblasti a zda mají oslovené porodní asistentky o další možnosti vzdělávání v rámci této problematiky vůbec zájem. Na konci práce jsou zhodnoceny výsledky šetření a podána doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

The topic of this theoretical-research bachelor thesis is "acute conditions in midwifery from the perspective of midwives". The theoretical part focuses on the description of contemporary knowledge about acute conditions in midwifery, specifically neonatal resuscitation and shoulder dystocia, and methods of education and strengthening of knowledge and skills of midwives. The aim of the survey part is to determine the extent of theoretical knowledge of the midwives interviewed in the selected acute conditions. Furthermore, the thesis seeks to ascertain whether midwives believe that they have the required level of practical knowledge of selected acute conditions, whether the respondents are regularly and well provided with further training opportunities in this area by their employer, and whether the respondents are interested in further training opportunities in this area at all. At the end of the paper, the results of the survey are evaluated and recommendations for practice are made.
