Czech-Austrian Relations after Nascency of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce jsou Česko-Rakouské vztahy od vzniku České republiky až do současnosti. Práce se bude zaměřovat nejen na vzájemné bilaterální vztahy s Rakouskou republikou, jež se vyvíjely těsně po vzniku samostatného českého státu. Bude též analyzovat vzájemné reakce obou zemí na kroky sousedního státu v mezinárodní politice. Příkladem může být vstup České republiky do mezinárodních organizací, jako je Evropská unie, Severoatlantická aliance a jiné. Zabývat se bude též důsledky podepsání významných smluv a dohody s našimi sousedy. V první části práce bude nastíněna jak historická a kulturní provázanost obou zemí, tak i snaha o rozvoj plnohodnotného partnerství, které je spjato s odbouráním určitých omezení s tím spojených. Druhá část se pak zaměří na jednotlivé pakty mezi zeměmi a jejich analýzu. Řešena bude otázka jak jejich navržení, tak jejich schválení či procesu opačného. Práce se zaměří i na mediálně známé neshody, jako například otázka jaderné elektrárny Temelín. Hlavním cílem práce je rozbor vzájemných bilaterálních vztahů mezi Českou a Rakouskou republikou na základě dokumentové analýzy. Zkoumané období bude zahrnovat etapu od vzniku samostatného českého státu, tedy od roku 1993, do roku 2009. Pokryje tak celé období samostatnosti České republiky.

Abstract:

The subject of the paper is analysis of the Czech-Austrian relations since the nascency of the Czech Republic until now. The paper will focus on mutual bilateral relations with the Republic of Austria which developed after the establishment of an independent Czech state. It will also analyse the mutual reactions of both countries in the neighboring state action in international politics. An example might be the enter of the Czech Republic into international organizations such as the European Union, NATO and others. This paper will also address the implications of the singing of an important treaties and agreements with our neighbours. The first part of the paper will outline the historical and cultural cohesion of the two countries and also effort to develop of a full partnership which is associated with eliminating certain limitations involved.The second part of the paper will focus on individual pacts between countries and also will include their analysis. The paper will focus on media known disagreement such as the questions of the nuclear power plant called Temelin.The main goal of the paper is the analysis of mutual bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Austria which is based on document analysis. Period under consideration will include the stage of nascency of the Czech Republic, namely from 1993 to 2009.
