Teacher for the 1st level of Elementary School - a conception of profession and professional values

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabývám učiteli 1. stupně základních škol, pojetím profese a profesních hodnot. První kapitola je zaměřena na profesi učitele, profesionalizaci učitelského povolání a historický vývoj této profese. Druhá kapitola je poté zaměřena na osobnost učitele, druhy rolí učitele a celkovou prestiž učitelů ve společnosti. Objektivním a subjektivním kompetencím se věnuje kapitola třetí, ve které se nachází rovněž problematika standardů učitelské kvalifikace. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá hodnotami, jejich hierarchií, dělením podle daných kritérií i provázaností s profesí učitele. Výzkumná část obsahuje srovnání názorů na potřebnost daných hodnot pro kvalifikovanou práci učitele, a to učitelů na 1. stupni základní škol a respondentů z řad veřejnosti s dětmi a bez nich.

Abstract:

My diploma work deals with teacher for the 1st level of grammar schools the concept of profession and professional values. The first chapter focuses on the profession of a teacher, professionalization of the teaching profession and historical development of this profession. The second chapter is focused on personality of the teacher, types of teacher roles and prestige of the teachers in the society. The third chapter focuses on the objective and subjective competencies to teaching and on standards for teacher qualification. The fourth chapter focuses on values, their hierarchy, classification according to criteria and their connection with profession of teacher. The empiric part contains comparison of opinions on the need of values for qualified teacher. This comparison is between the teacher for the 1st level of grammar school and respondents from the public with children and without them.
